(New York, New York) – Joe Rogan is taking aim at Gov. Gavin Newsom, accusing him of presenting California as stable while ordinary residents deal with crime, homelessness, high costs and people leaving the state.
Rogan’s comments reflect a broader criticism often aimed at Newsom: that California’s national image does not match the day-to-day frustration of families and business owners living under the state’s policies.
Critics argue that California has become a warning sign for the rest of the country, with rising expenses, public safety concerns and heavy regulation pushing residents and companies elsewhere.
Newsom’s defenders counter that California remains the country’s largest state economy and continues to lead in major industries, including technology, entertainment and green energy.
Still, Rogan’s comments are likely to resonate with voters who believe California’s leadership is more focused on political branding than fixing problems on the ground.
