(Richmond, Virginia) – Donald Trump is alleging election irregularities following a recent vote in Virginia, claiming the outcome was unfair and should be challenged in court.

In a social media post on Wednesday, Trump said Republicans were leading throughout Election Day before what he described as a late surge of mail-in ballots shifted the results in favor of Democrats. He argued the turnaround was suspicious and compared it to past election controversies.

Trump also criticized the wording of a referendum on the ballot, calling it confusing and misleading to voters. He suggested that even voters who supported the measure may not have fully understood it.

The president ended his statement by urging legal action, saying the courts should step in to address what he characterized as a “travesty.”

There has been no official confirmation of widespread voting issues in the Virginia election. Election officials have not announced any evidence of fraud or irregularities affecting the outcome.
