(Washignton, DC) – Conflicting reports are emerging about the future of Pam Bondi, with social media speculation intensifying Thursday over whether she has been removed from her role in President Donald Trump’s administration. As of now, no official announcement has been made by the White House, and details surrounding her status remain unclear.

According to multiple reports, including sources cited by Associated Press, Trump has recently discussed the possibility of replacing Bondi, with Lee Zeldin emerging as a leading candidate. Those familiar with the internal conversations say the president has grown increasingly frustrated with Bondi’s leadership at the Justice Department, particularly surrounding the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and stalled investigations targeting individuals Trump has publicly criticized.

Additional reporting from Fox News suggests Bondi may have already been dismissed following a private Oval Office meeting Wednesday night, just hours before Trump addressed the nation on the escalating conflict with Iran. Sources cited in that report claim Bondi was informed of her removal during that meeting, though those claims have not been independently confirmed.

Meanwhile, a viral report from the Daily Mail alleges Bondi made a last-ditch effort to keep her position during a tense exchange with the president — another claim that has not been verified by U.S. officials.

Despite the growing speculation, Trump publicly struck a more measured tone in a recent statement, describing Bondi as “a good person” who has performed well in her role. The president is known, however, for frequently reconsidering personnel decisions, leaving the situation fluid.

Bondi has faced mounting criticism in recent months from both political opponents and some conservative voices. Several high-profile investigations launched under her leadership — including cases involving James Comey and Letitia James — have faltered in court or failed to advance, raising questions about the Justice Department’s direction.

If a leadership change does occur, it would mark another major shakeup within Trump’s cabinet as he continues to reshape key positions during his current term. For now, the White House has not confirmed any dismissal, and Bondi’s official status remains uncertain.
