(Washington, DC) – Senator Patty Murray is pointing the finger at Republicans as a political standoff over funding for TSA workers continues to drag on.
In a statement, Murray said Democrats have repeatedly attempted to pass measures ensuring pay for Transportation Security Administration employees, but claims those efforts have been blocked multiple times.
The ongoing dispute comes as concerns grow over staffing shortages, long security lines, and potential disruptions at airports nationwide.
Republicans have pushed back on the accusations, arguing broader budget disagreements are at the root of the impasse.
With no resolution yet in sight, travelers could begin to feel the impact if the situation continues.
