(New York, NY) – The FBI is warning law enforcement in California that Iran was looking to retaliate against Operation Epic Fury. This is according to multiple reports from sources that have seen the confidential memo.
The alert was issued at the end of February to authorities on the west coast, that the Islamic Republic “aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United States Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran.”
The FBI has yet to comment on the possible threats from Iran at home. The White House has also been silent on the reports of threats coming from the Middle East. ABC News was first to break the story. California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom confirmed the reports and said there are no “imminent” threats to the state, but they are always monitoring the skies for any drone attacks.
I am in constant coordination with security and intelligence officials, including at @Cal_OES, to monitor potential threats to California — including those tied to the conflict in the Middle East.
While we are not aware of any imminent threats at this time, we remain prepared…

When asked by reporters on the potential Iranian sleeper cells within the U.S. and possible threats on the homefront, President Trump said law enforcement was aware of several possible threats and their locations. Trump also put the blame on former President Joe Biden and his border policies for allowing these people to enter the country.
