(New York, NY) – The Mayor is once again in hot water with the NYPD. The former Mayor of Cornwall-on-Hudson, James Gagliano, appearing on Fox News demanded to know why the mayor was hosting left-wing activist Mahmoud Khalil at Gracie Mansion. It comes after the mayor’s residence was the site of a thwarted terror attack over the weekend.
This was a clear cut terrorist attack. @nycmayor they are testing your Administration’s resolve. Whether you pass or fail this test depends on your resolve to protect this city.
This was a terrorist attack by people who promote hate on both sides.

Gagliano, a retired FBI special agent supervisor, pointed out Mamdani’s inherit diss to the boys in blue. Gagliano said “instead of hosting the two-star police chief, who leaped over the barricade and ran this guy down who had thrown the bomb, the Mayor decides at Gracie Mansion to host Mahmoud Khalil.” Gagliano went on to say the mayor is sending an awful message to NYPD officers.
On Monday, Mamdani posted a picture of Khalil in the mayor’s official residence. Khalil has been labelled a Hamas supporter by the Trump administration and is currently facing deportation
For Mahmoud Khalil, this past year has been marked by profound hardship—and by profound courage.
A year ago, Mahmoud was walking home through our city after sharing an iftar with his wife Noor when he was detained by federal agents, flown to Louisiana, and then held in an ICE… pic.twitter.com/6dBtLh0GeT

The post also coming as the city’s First Lady, Rama Duwaji, continues to face heavy criticism from conservatives for her previous social media activity being labeled as anti-Semitic.
