(Washington, DC) – President Donald Trump issued a stark warning about the state of American elections, declaring that the United States must “fix” its system or risk losing the country altogether.

“We are either going to fix them, or we won’t have a country any longer,” Trump said, referring to U.S. elections.

The president made the remarks while addressing concerns about election integrity, a topic that has remained central to his political messaging. Trump has consistently argued that reforms are needed to restore public confidence in the electoral process, including stricter voter ID requirements, updated voter rolls, and tighter controls on mail-in ballots.

Supporters say Trump is raising legitimate concerns about transparency and trust in elections. Critics, however, argue that repeated claims about systemic election failures undermine confidence in democratic institutions.

Election officials across multiple states have maintained that recent elections were conducted securely, while lawmakers in several states have advanced reforms aimed at tightening procedures and increasing oversight.

The president did not outline specific legislative proposals during the remarks but reiterated that election integrity will remain a priority moving forward.
