(Washington, DC) – President Donald Trump announced that he plans to begin the process of identifying and releasing government files related to extraterrestrial life and unidentified aerial phenomena.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he would be directing the “Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies” to begin reviewing and releasing materials connected to “alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs).”
“Based on the tremendous interest shown,” Trump wrote, “I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life… and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters.”
The announcement comes amid growing public interest in UAP disclosures, following years of congressional hearings and Pentagon reports examining unexplained aerial sightings.
It remains unclear what specific documents could be released, when the review process would begin, or whether classified materials would ultimately be made public.
The White House has not yet provided additional details regarding the scope or timeline of the proposed disclosure effort.
