(Port St. Lucie, FL) – Spring training is launching in South Florida. Pitchers and catchers are due to report this week, with full workouts right around the corner. Local cities that host teams include Fort Myers, West Palm Beach, and Port St. Lucie, to name a few. The 30 Major League Baseball Teams’ spring headquarters are split evenly between Florida and Arizona.
The pitchers and catchers for both the Mets and Yankees report to their respective camps Wednesday, February 11th. The Mets to Port St. Lucie, Florida while the Yanks head to the west coast of the sunshine state to Tampa.
The Bronx Bombers first full-squad workout is February 16th with exhibition games starting February 20th
The Mets first full squad workout is also February 16th with the first Grapefruit League came on February 21st against the Marlins
