(Los Angeles, California) – A Los Angeles law firm says it is ready to take action against pop star Billie Eilish, offering to evict her from her California home on a pro bono basis on behalf of the Tongva Tribe.
In a statement released Tuesday, Sinai Law Firm announced it would represent the Tongva Tribe at no cost, citing recent public remarks by Eilish invoking the phrase “stolen land.”
“Sinai Law Firm is offering to evict Billie Eilish from her Los Angeles home on a pro bono basis on behalf of the Tongva Tribe,” the firm said in its release, adding that it considers itself the premier eviction firm in the county.
The announcement appears to be a direct response to the singer’s political statements, which critics say open the door to questions about private property ownership, historical land claims, and whether celebrity activism should come with real-world consequences.
The firm did not specify whether formal legal action has been filed, but the statement alone quickly ignited backlash and online debate — with supporters praising the move as holding celebrities accountable, and critics calling it performative or retaliatory.
As of publication, Eilish has not publicly responded to the offer.
