(Washington, DC) – The Department of Justice announced Friday that it has published more than 3 million additional pages of records in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, bringing the total number of pages released to nearly 3.5 million.

The law, signed by President Donald Trump in November 2025, requires the public release of federal materials related to investigations involving Jeffrey Epstein and his associates. The latest release includes more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, according to the Justice Department.

Officials said the materials were gathered from multiple sources, including federal cases in Florida and New York involving Epstein, the prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell, investigations into Epstein’s death, FBI investigations, and a Department of Justice Office of Inspector General review.

New allegations circulating with the Epstein document release claim the disgraced financier may have benefited from institutional protection while under sex-trafficking scrutiny during the Obama administration.

The department said it deliberately over-collected records and withheld only materials that were duplicative, legally privileged, excluded under the Act, unrelated to the Epstein or Maxwell cases, or contained depictions of violence. More than 500 attorneys and reviewers participated in the review process.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York implemented an additional safeguard to comply with a court order requiring then–U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton to certify that no victim-identifying information would be released unredacted. The department said redactions were limited to protecting victims and their families, and that well-known individuals and politicians were not redacted.

The Justice Department also cautioned that the release may contain false or misleading submissions, including unverified materials sent to the FBI by the public. Officials said some documents include unfounded allegations against President Trump that were submitted before the 2020 election, stressing that the claims are false and lack credibility.

As scrutiny around Epstein’s network grows, newly released records show Elon Musk’s name appearing in more than 1,400 documents despite his denial of any close ties. While Musk has rejected claims of a relationship with Epstein, document releases have reignited questions about how frequently prominent figures are referenced in the files. The latest Epstein document dump has sparked fresh debate after records surfaced listing Elon Musk hundreds of times, even as he maintains he had no meaningful connection.

The full letter sent by the Justice Department to Congress outlining the release was made available alongside the publication of the records.
