(Minneapolis, Minnesota) – The two CBP/Border Patrol agents who fired their weapons during the fatal encounter with Alex Pretti have been placed on administrative leave, according to reports.
The move is a standard procedure following officer-involved shootings and comes as investigations into the incident continue. Authorities have not released the names of the agents or additional details about the circumstances surrounding the use of force.
Pretti was killed during an interaction with federal immigration officers in Minneapolis, an incident that has since sparked protests and heightened scrutiny of federal enforcement actions in the region.
