Hanukkah reception at the White House in Washington, D.C.
(New York, NY) — It’s been ten years since Sid Rosenberg has been on-air at 77WABC Radio. To celebrate, the host of “Sid and Friends in the Morning” did a seven-hour show live from Studio 77 at the radio station’s headquarters in Manhattan. Many guests congratulated Sid on-air, including President Trump, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Mark Levin and former New York Governor David Paterson.

77WABC Owner and Operator John Catsimatidis hired Sid a decade ago and still feels Sid has that “secret-sauce” when it comes to being a great radio host. Catsimatidis says “Sid is a great entertainer who loves to spout out what he’s thinking versus being reserved.” Catsimatidis says what he requires from all his on-air hosts is that they tell the truth. He adds that he “admired Walter Cronkite when I grew up. Ninety-nine person of the American people loved and believed Walter Cronkite…WABC is getting that reputation, if you hear it on WABC-it’s the truth.”

Sid’s 17-year-old son Gabe Rosenberg was also on hand to celebrate. Gabe said he’s very proud of his Dad. He said when he was kid in Florida, he knew it was only a matter of time that his father would be back in New York because his father’s heart belonged in New York.
Here’s Gabe (in the white outfit) on set with Sid:

Back in 2016, Sid stepped off the plane at JFK Airport from Florida and hasn’t looked back. Sid’s doing great in the ratings and Catsimatidis is proud. “Sid is doing a great job,” he says. “Not just in New York City, but the entire country that listens to Sid via the WABC app.”
Catsimatidis has these words for Sid as 2026 kicks into high gear, “Sid. Knock ’em dead!”
