(New York, New York) – Conservative commentator Benny Johnson is alleging that a winery bearing the name of Rep. Ilhan Omar exists largely on paper, yet reportedly increased in value by nearly $5 million, despite showing no evidence of actual wine production.
According to Johnson, the winery allegedly has no physical location, a barely functioning website, no listed phone number, and social media accounts that appear inactive or deleted. Johnson further claims that there is no publicly verifiable evidence of wine ever being produced or sold under the brand.
Despite these red flags, Johnson says the business was still reportedly valued millions of dollars higher than before, raising questions about how such an increase could occur without tangible operations, inventory, or consumer sales.
At this time, there has been no public confirmation from Omar or her representatives addressing the claims, and it remains unclear who formally owns or operates the entity in question. No official filings or independent audits confirming the winery’s valuation have been publicly released.
Johnson has framed the allegations as part of a broader call for transparency, arguing that the situation warrants further scrutiny. As of now, the claims remain unverified, and no law enforcement agency has announced an investigation.
