(Trenton, NJ)  — New Jersey is busy digging out from this past weekend’s monster snowstorm.  The snow wreaked havoc with New Jersey Transit, with service shutting down on Sunday.  Meantime, bus and train routes were slowly getting back to running by Monday afternoon.  The transit agency continues to advise commuters to check its website for service updates.

Meantime, New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill, during a press conference Monday afternoon, said New Jersey’s State of Emergency was over.  She added, “We’ve gone through the acute crisis. Now, it’s post crisis cleanup and making sure we continue to keep everyone safe through this cold weather.”

The governor said the cleanup in New Jersey is now in Phase Three.  Sherril said. “Phase One was preparation. Phase Two was the actual emergency and now we’re in Phase Three-the aftermath. The cleanup.”  She added, now we’re “making sure our streets are de-iced and that we are keeping utility power going to consumers.”
