(New York, NY) – President Donald Trump has not forgotten the 2020 election. While he’s since regained the White House, having defeated Kamala Harris in 2024, Trump’s got the memory of an elephant. And he’s vowing to throw his political weight around in a bid to get justice for what he calls a “stolen” election.
President Biden campaigned from his basement in the run up to the 2020 election. He showed little energy or enthusiasm while acting as though he was “owed” the presidency. Somehow he secured more votes than Barack Obama ever did. The voting rolls suggested he was truly the most popular and effective campaigner of all time. Yet the obvious truth remains — mail-in voting was expanded tremendously during the COVID-era. The barrier to entry for voting was lowered, and that’s without even considering the possibility of fraud. Lawmakers also relaxed standard for things like voter registration, all under the guise of the pandemic.
On stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump threw down the gauntlet. He said fraud that took place during the 2020 election and subsequent counting of votes was “widespread.” The president said the entire election was rigged, and suggested prosecutions are coming soon against conspirators in the US. Trump called it potential “breaking news.”
As for the consequences of Biden having been elected in 2020, Trump said the Ukraine-Russia war “wouldn’t have started,” if the election wasn’t manipulated. There have been allegations made for years that “voting inconsistencies” or “procedural concerns” took place during the election — though some say those may be tied to things like ballot harvesting, which are technically legal.
Trump made it clear he expects action to be taken, potentially soon: “It was a rigged election. Everybody now knows that. They found out. People will soon be prosecuted for what they did. It’s probably breaking news, but it should be. It’s a rigged election.” And as for Russia-Ukraine: “It’s a war that should have never started, and it wouldn’t have started if the 2020 US Presidential election weren’t rigged. It was a rigged election. Everybody now knows that they found out.”
