(Washington, DC) – Conservative content creator Nick Shirley told lawmakers Wednesday that fraud in some federally funded programs may be far larger than previously reported, drawing on his viral investigations and testimony during a House hearing on public funds abuse.
Shirley, best known for videos alleging widespread fraud in Minnesota social service programs, was among several witnesses at the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance’s hearing titled “When Public Funds Are Abused: Addressing Fraud and the Theft of Taxpayer Dollars.” During the hearing, Nick Shirley hinted at the idea that fraud might be worse in California- than it is in Minnesota.
“You don’t even have to be smart to see these red flags!” Nick Shirley also claims, “$24B went missing for homelessness. They’ve been trying to build this train for years, yet there’s hardly anything to prove for that. The fires.”
