(New York, New York) – President Trump made a post trolling European elites Tuesday morning. The post was an Ai-generated image of himself planting an American flag into Greenland soil alongside Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. Trump then leaked text messages from foreign leaders ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
One image shared on Truth Social shows Trump staking his claim in the Arctic alongside Vice President J. D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, with a sign reading “Greenland – U.S. Territory EST. 2026.” Another AI post depicts European leaders huddled in the Oval Office around a map with Greenland, and even Canada, absorbed into the United States.
The trolling came as Trump doubled down on his push to acquire Greenland, declaring there was “no going back” and refusing to rule out force. With Davos underway, the president also dropped screenshots of sweet-talking texts from European heavyweights, messages he said prove who’s really calling the shots.
In one exchange, French President Emmanuel Macron praised Trump’s foreign-policy moves and floated meetings and dinners, while delicately raising concerns about Greenland. NATO chief Mark Rutte went further, applauding Trump’s actions and promising to amplify them in Davos media appearances. The AI posts also name-check UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni.
Back home, Trump’s moves rattled markets and capitals alike. Denmark boosted its posture in Greenland as protests erupted in Nuuk, while Trump warned Europe of new tariffs if leaders try to block a deal. He even threatened France with a 200% tariff on wine and champagne over unrelated diplomatic spats.
