(New York, New York) – Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing more backlash after his newest addition to his cabinet has made some racist remarks on X. Afua Atta-Mensah, posted a series of inflammatory remarks targeting liberal white women.

Screenshots circulated by the New York Young Republicans Club show Atta-Mensah endorsing rhetoric comparing white women to “police,” invoking “Amy Cooper” stereotypes, and cheering on calls to “tax them to the white meat.” One reply from Atta-Mensah read plainly: “Tax Them To The White Meat!!!”

Despite the posts, Mamdani praised Atta-Mensah at her appointment, saying there was “no one I trust more” to advance racial equity at City Hall. Her account reportedly disappeared within days of the announcement.

The controversy compounds turmoil for the Mamdani administration, which is already under fire for past social media posts by another aide calling to “seize private property” and labeling homeownership a tool of “white supremacy.”

City Hall declined to comment on the deleted posts. Critics accuse the mayor’s team of scrambling to scrub radical rhetoric before it comes to light- and warn the pattern is becoming impossible to ignore.
