Hip-hop star Sean "P Diddy" Combs, arrives at State Supreme Court, where he is on trial on weapons possession and bribery charges, March 12, 2001. Closing arguments were expected to begin Monday in the trial stemming from a 1999 shooting at a Manhattan nightclub where three people were injured. Combs has denied all charges in the case.
(New York, New York) – Well, Sean “Diddy” Combs isn’t getting out early after all. President Donald Trump confirmed that the music mogul personally wrote him seeking a presidential pardon- but the answer was a firm no. The rejection undercuts Combs’ own jailhouse boasts at Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix, where he reportedly told fellow inmates a Trump pardon was coming in early 2026.
Instead, Combs will serve his full 50-month federal prison sentence stemming from his prostitution-related conviction, closing the door on any early release and making clear that no presidential pardon or last-minute intervention is coming.
