(Washington, DC) – NASA says the ISS crew will make an early return to Earth because of a medical situation with one crew member.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said at a news conference January 8th that the un-named crew member is stable. The agency had already postponed a spacewalk scheduled for the 8th because of the medical issue and that it plans to bring the crew home within the coming days. The four-person crew includes U.S. astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, plus one Japanese astronaut and a Russian cosmonaut.
Isaacman says there will be an update in the coming days about when the crew will start its journey home.
