(Minneapolis, Minnesota) – Hilton announced Tuesday it is removing a Minnesota hotel from its booking systems after video surfaced showing staff allegedly continuing to deny rooms to federal immigration agents, despite prior assurances the issue had been resolved.

The property, the Hampton Inn Lakeville Minneapolis, is independently owned and operated under Everpeak Hospitality. Hilton said the hotel failed to meet company standards after a viral video posted by conservative commentator Nick Sortor showed staff confirming an internal policy refusing accommodations to the Department of Homeland Security.

Hilton called the situation unacceptable and said it took “immediate action” after the footage contradicted earlier claims from the hotel’s owner. The move comes as the Donald Trump administration ramps up immigration enforcement in parts of Minnesota, drawing sharp criticism from conservatives who say denying law enforcement service undermines the rule of law.
