(NIGERIA) – Famous boxer Anthony Joshua was reportedly injured in a terrifying crash in Nigeria. The incident occurred on Monday morning and has left two dead.
The car with Joshua, 36, “collided with a stationary truck” according to The Telegraph, along a busy highway.
Officials say they suspect the accident happened while the car Joshua was in tried to overtake another vehicle on the Ogun-Lagos state expressway while traveling over the speed limit.
A Nigerian outlet, The Punch, says the crash is still being investigated. An image of the crash is circulating showing Joshua outside the vehicle, shirtless and surrounded by broken glass.
No information has been released on who passed away. The fighter has family roots in Sagamu, Nigeria.
The incident occurred less than two weeks after the star knocked out Jake Paul during a fight in Miami.
