(Lindenhurst, NY) – A suspect is in custody for a fatal Christmas day stabbing at a CVS on Long Island. John Pilaccio, 43, has been taken into custody for allegedly knifing 23 year-old employee Edeedson Cine. The incident happened as Cine was preparing to close the CVS in Lindenhurst on Montauk Highway. Cops rushed to the store in response to a 911 call, that’s when they found Cine. He was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was then declared dead.
The alleged attacker, Pilaccio, fled the scene. He has been charged with second-degree murder. In a statement, CVS extended their condolences to the victim’s family. They went on and said Cine was a hardworking employee who will be greatly missed.
