(Charlotte, NC) – Following a fiery fatal plane crash, the final words of one of the victims is shedding some light on their final moments. A private jet owned by NASCAR driver Greg Biffle crashed as it attempted to land at Statesville Regional Airport. On board were 7 passengers: Biffle and his wife Cristina, their 14-year-old daughter Emma, 5-year-old son Ryder, Craig Wadsworth, Dennis Dutton and Dutton’s son, Jack. Cristina’s mother, Cathy Grossu, is sharing a message she got from Cristina just before the crash. She told her mom “We’re in trouble”, indicating that the passengers knew something was wrong. People reported the victims were heading to Florida for a birthday trip. Biffle won 19 NASCAR Cup series races and was a one-time Busch series champion.
