Manhunt for Brown University shooter continues in Providence
(Providence, RI) — Former Department of Homeland Security adviser Charles Marino appeared on Fox & Friends First to weight in on the ongoing investigation into the deadly mass shooting at Brown University. As authorities released new images of a person of interest, Marino said investigators may be forced to share additional details, as the search continues. He said, “They’re kind of getting backed into a corner here and having to release more and more information.”
Officials recently released surveillance footage showing a person dressed in black and wearing a face mask while walking through what appears to be a residential neighborhood. While Marino described the video as “underwhelming,” he added that small details-such as a jacket or a distinctive gait- could prove useful adding, “You never know what someone may pick up on.”
Marino stated “You always want to put out information that’s going to assist the public and assist law enforcement in getting valid tips coming in.” Marino was asked if he thought the attack seemed targeted. He said, “Absolutely. The question is was is specifically targeted only to Brown. Or is there an existing threat that remains to other types of academic institutions.”
