(Sydney, Australia) – Authorities in New South Wales say 11 people are dead and two suspects are in custody following a mass shooting at Bondi Beach. Another 29 were injured. One of the suspects was killed and officers discovered explosive devices near a vehicle belonging to the deceased suspect.
The United States strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Australia targeting a Jewish celebration.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called the incident “an act of evil, antisemitism, terrorism that has struck the heart of our nation”. The shooting occurred as families gathered for a Hanukkah event at the beach.
