(New York, NY) – Fans of the critically acclaimed actor are sharpening their swords and taking aim at another big name in Hollywood: Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino made an appearance on the “Bret Eaton Ellis Podcast” and gave his picks for the top movies to come out of the 21st century so far. He ranked Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2007 period drama “There Will Be Blood” as his number five. He shared plenty of praise for the Academy award-winning film starring Daniel Day Lewis. Tarantino did have a bit to say about another performance, that from actor Paul Dano. Tarantino claimed Dano was the “big giant flaw” in the film, went on to say Dano is “weak sauce”, and said he was the weakest actor in SAG. Tarantino suggested it would have been better if another younger actor took the role instead like Austin Butler.
The fans of Paul Dano wasted no time voicing their disagreement. Memes hit social media claiming Tarantino created “a million Paul Dano’s” in solidarity with the “Little Miss Sunshine” star. Actor Ben Stiller called Dano “f-ing brilliant” on social media. Marvel alum Simu Liu also taking to X or Twitter writing, “idk man i think paul dano is an incredible actor.” Dano has not responded to the comments.
