(Washington, DC) — A measure calling for the release of all Jeffrey Epstein files is headed to the Senate and the upper chamber could vote on it as soon as Tuesday evening.
The House passed the legislation in a near-unanimous vote Tuesday afternoon by a vote of 427-to-1. Only one representative, Republican Clay Higgins of Louisiana, voted no, claiming the bill would harm innocent people swept up in the investigation.
Earlier, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said he would move for the Senate to immediately take it up and pass it after the House approved it. President Trump recently said he’ll sign the measure if it passes the Senate.
