This is the first question in 77 WABC’s Mayoral Election Questions Series
(New York, NY) – As the New York City mayor’s race draws to a close, we’re highlighting some of the key questions voters want answers to. Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in Palestine, and the negotiated ceasefire, all three candidates have been drawn into the debate. Democratic-Socialist Zohran Mamdani is decidedly anti-Israel, while Independent Andrew Cuomo has been more moderate in his views following a longstanding pro-Israel stance. Republican-Independent Curtis Sliwa praised President Trump for his role in helping negotiate peace, and he’s maintained a pro-Israel position.
