Counterfeit Labubu dolls are displayed by a street vendor in New York City
(New York, NY) — The Labubu Dolls were one of the hottest crazes for 2025 and now, just in time for Halloween, comes the creepy Ratbubu Doll! It’s a tattooed and pierced Labubu doll dressed like a rat! It’s part of the WELOVENYC “Comeback Collection” and why not? Who else has a rat czar but New York City! The first 300 limited-edition toys sold out at a special pop-up shop at 101 Lafayette Street in Manhattan.
Just in case you don’t know, the Labubu is a small, elf-like plush monster adorned with pointed ears, a wide serrated grin and large eyes. It quickly became a hot item, thanks to social media. In addition, some became a status symbol after being spotted dangling like a keychain on designer bags. Some of the celebrities carrying a Labubu include Rihanna, Dua Lipa, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, and Kim Kardashian. Meantime, some dolls have sold for as much as 10-thousand dollars.
