(Albany, NY) — New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s administration is investing a record high amount of money into repaving projects in New York State over the next year. She says an additional 800-million dollars will cover 180 paving projects which is in addition to projects already scheduled.
In total, more than four-thousand lane miles are scheduled to be resurfaced next year, the most ever. That includes Route 376 from Route 82 to Boardman Road in the communities of Poughkeepsie, LaGrange, Wappinger and East Fishkill. The Meadowbrook Parkway in Nassau County, The Bronx River Parkway and the Northway will also get repaved.
Chief of Staff of the Department of Transportation George Paralemos is on board, saying there are plenty of rough roads in need of repair.
