(Bronx, NY) — The rare corpse flower is expected to bloom at New York Botanical Garden just in time for Halloween!
It’s a rare flower known for its putrid smell and, despite that, hundreds of people turn out to see it and savor it every time it blooms in the Bronx. That’s just once every three to five years after it first opens up, which the NYBG says can take a decade.
If you’re into malodorous floral treats that can grow up to nine-feet tall, you can watch the corpse flower bloom via livestream. Then you can catch it in person at the New York Botanical Garden around Halloween.
