(New York, NY) – After the top candidates for New York City mayor debate, we’ll provide extended coverage on 77 WABC. You can also listen to the debate LIVE on our air, here.

Rita Cosby, Judge Richard Weinberg, and Dominic Carter will anchor the discussion following the debate — which will be televised on NBC 4 New York and Telemundo. The second half of the debate is also being streamed on NBC 4 New York’s website.

The debate itself will feature former governor Andrew Cuomo — a longtime Democrat running as an Independent. Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, a state lawmaker from Queens, is considered the front-runner according to many polls. And a man that’s well-known to 77 WABC and its listening audience — Curtis Sliwa — is the Republican-Independent candidate.

Cuomo has been hammering away at Mamdani lately, hitting at him for his anti-Israel positions — which some have accused of crossing into anti-Semitism. Mamdani — per reports — see the debate as an opportunity to maintain what is considered an electoral lead. Sliwa says he plans to go hard at both candidates, in an attempt to further cement his status as the anti-crime, conservative candidate.

The debate will center on topics such as cost of living, transportation, and cracking down on crime. Our analysis will take a look at those issues — and take stock of the race itself. The debate begins at 7:00 PM, and we will air that in its entirety.
