New Noem Video Doesn’t “Fly”

(Washington, DC) – Major US airports from New York to Oregon and North Carolina to Nevada have refused to play a “public service announcement” from Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem at security checkpoints in which she blames Democrats for the federal government shutdown.

The video is playing on monitors controlled by the Transportation Security Administration but many airports have refused to allow it on screens that they control.

LaGuardia, JFK, Newark, and Westchester airports say they won’t play the new video from Noem on airport property. The Port Authority says the video violates its policy on politically partisan messages within their facilities. Noem places the blame for the Government shutdown on Democrats in the video, and says because of them, TSA employees are working without pay. The TSA falls under the Department of Homeland Security.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul called the videos messaging “obviously false” in a statement. New York City airports join a long list of other major airports refusing to play the message.
