(Tel Aviv, Israel) — It’s been a very emotional day for Israelis as Hamas has finally released all 20 remaining living Israeli hostages being held in Gaza. They were kidnapped from Israel during the October 7th attacks in 2024.
President Trump flew to Israel overnight to take part in the second part of peace negotiations and to speak before the Israeli Knesset. He was welcomed to the parliament and thanked by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for brokering the peace deal with Hamas. The President was greeted by several minutes of applause as he stood up speak. “This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East,” Trump said at the start of a 65-minute speech. The President ended his speech by saying “And I love Israel, I’m with you all the way. You will be bigger, better, stronger and more loving than ever before”. He was given a standing ovation as he walked off stage.
The President than boarded a plane for Egypt to lead the second part of negotiations with Hamas. The next stage includes the disarmament of Hamas and the rebuilding of Gaza.
