(New York, NY) — Taylor Swift is back. The pop star’s 12th album “The Life of a Showgirl” dropped at midnight Friday. Some online expressed frustration that Spotify appeared to be down as they tried to stream the album right at midnight. Swifties lined up at Target stores at midnight to secure a special-edition copy. In her first social media post after the album came out, Swift wrote that she “can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right.”
On Sunday, the pop sensation will be releasing a video for the lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia.” The 35-year-old will do the late night shows to promote “The Life of a Showgirl” She will visit NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday.” After that, she’ll sit down for an extended interview on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Wednesday.
Krispy Kreme is on the celebration of Swift’s new album too. The donut chain’s original glazed donuts are orange today in honor of the album’s release. They’re also offering a “Spotlight Dozen,” which offers nine orange original glazed donuts and three “Spotlight Swirl” donuts featuring an orange and green icing swirl.
