Fat Bear Week is Back

The most wonderful time of year is back. Of course, I am talking about Fat Bear Week at Katmai National Park in Alaska. The decade old tradition pits 12 out of the park’s 80 brown grizzly bears against each other in a March Madness-style bracket competition. The bears are gearing up for hibernation season and so they are feasting on the salmon of the Brooks River. The winner will be revealed on Tuesday. If you want to vote in the finals – polls are back open on Monday at noon, you can vote online at explore.org/fat-bear-week
