(Trenton, NJ) — A new poll finds the two candidates vying to be New Jersey’s next Governor in a dead heat. The poll from Emerson College, Pix 11, and the Hill shows 43-percent of voters support Democrat Mikie Sherrill and Republican Jack Ciattarelli.
There’s still some time for the candidates to work on the eleven percent of voters who say they’re undecided. Sherill is more popular with voters under 40 but the race tightens to seven points with voters in their 40s and Ciattarelli leads by double digits in voters over 50.
Economic concerns continue to be New Jersey voters’ top concern followed by threats to democracy and housing affordability.
