(Toms River, NJ) – One New Jersey family is dealing with the heartbreaking aftermath of a fire at their home — but they’re also thanking their blessings — for making it out alive. And they’re also praising their neighbor as a lifesaver, because he alerted them to the danger.
Stunning doorbell video footage shows the neighbor banging on the door and frantically trying to let the family know about the fire. This was in Toms River, on Saturday night. Amazingly, no one was hurt. Two adults who live at the home, a 17-year-old, and a nine-month-old baby all made it out safely — as did the family dog.
Officials in Toms River say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
