The 77 WABC Gala returned Friday night at Cipriani’s, bringing together sponsors, friends, and listeners for the station’s annual celebration. The evening was both political and festive, with 77 WABC owner John Catsimatidis reminding the crowd of America’s upcoming 250th birthday while reflecting on the challenges facing his friend, President Trump.

Over 350 guests filled the room for a sold-out crowd, enjoying a lively cocktail hour complete with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Uncle Sam, and Lady Liberty mingling through the room. The food and service were impeccable, setting the stage for a night of music, conversation, and celebration.

Radio legend Cousin Brucie emceed the program, Staten Island’s own Vinnie Medugno lit up the stage with his performance, and the crowd roared when the Statue of Liberty emerged from the cake.
More than just a party, the gala captured New York’s spirit — resilient, forward-looking, and proud. Once again, John and Margo Catsimatidis delivered a night to remember, blending fine dining, entertainment, and celebration in true WABC fashion.
