(New York, NY) – The 43rd Annual National Dominican Day Parade took place on Sunday, August 10, 2025. It marched up Sixth Avenue through Midtown Manhattan with the theme, “Quisqueya & USA: United in Culture and Tradition.” Streamed live by ABC 7 New York, the event celebrated Dominican heritage and its intersection with American Identity.
Honorees included Kid Mero as Ambassador of Arts and Culture, along with Mimi Henriquez, Ramón Mercedes, Domingo Cruz, Fidel Malena, and Giamara M. Rosado. All were recognized for their community impact. Since launching its scholarship program in 2015, the parade has raised over $1 million, supporting more than 200 students across 20 states.
Additionally, Goya Foods contributed over 20,000 pounds of non-perishable food to Catholic Charities Alianza Division, reinforcing the event’s commitment to both culture and community support.
