(Los Angeles, CA) — Actress Loni Anderson, who gained fame playing the receptionist at a fictitious Cincinnati radio station, has died at the age of 79. Anderson starred for four seasons as Jennifer Marlowe in the 70s and early 80s on the sitcom WKRP In Cincinnati.  Apart from acting, Anderson was possibly best-known for her highly-publicized romance and marriage to actor Burt Reynolds, a relationship that ended in a divorce that was well-documented by the tabloids in 1994.

Anderson passed away Sunday in Los Angeles. Her publicist did not reveal the illness she was battling.

In an interview with FOX News in 2021, Anderson said she was shocked by the fact that she became a sex symbol, but she decided to embrace it.
