(Birmingham, UK) — It was an emotional day for members of Ozzy Osbourne’s family in Birmingham, England where the metal icon was laid to rest in his hometown. Thousands of fans lined the streets, as the late Black Sabbath frontman’s widow Sharon and her children Kelly, Jack and Aimee came to pay their respects. A funeral procession traveled through the city, where fans left messages, gifts and flowers. The family was dressed in black, and were in tears, as they visited the fan memorial. They also gave the peace sign to bystanders. The New York Post reports it appeared Sharon wore a ring on a necklace that appeared to be Ozzy’s wedding band. There was a private funeral for family and close friends after the procession through town. Osbourne died last week at the age of 76.
