(Brooklyn, NY) – Celebrity chef and Food Network star Anne Burrell is dead at 55. And officials have confirmed she took her own life.
Burrell was found unresponsive on June 17, 2025, and her death has now been officially ruled a suicide by the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner. She was found unresponsive in her Brooklyn home, reportedly surrounded by roughly 100 pills.
Burrell is best known as the longtime co-host of Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America”, “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef” and she routinely appeared on “Iron Chef America” as well as “Chopped”. The network released a statement saying she was a remarkable person and culinary talent.
