Was It a Treasonous Conspiracy?

(Washington, DC) – Tulsi Gabbard, a former member of the military — who was once a Democrat — wore a smart, white pantsuit. She stood at the White House press room podium and delivered a bombshell, Wednesday — as the Director of National Intelligence. Gabbard said in plain language that she had sent criminal referrals to the DOJ and FBI, in connection to what she called a “treasonous” attempt at a “coup.”

Despite the story receiving scant coverage from major news outlets such as the New York Times and Washington Post, Gabbard said former President Barack Obama and his top-level staff had manufactured evidence. She explained how Obama and his cronies attempted to ruin President Trump during his first term in office — by falsely smearing him as a traitor, who was in cahoots with Russian strongman Vladimir Putin.

Despite Trump engineering various political successes during his first term, he also faced impeachment — twice — partly because his predecessor had sowed the seeds of illegitimacy. Obama had poisoned the proverbial well, and delivered unto a rabid and partisan media corps the ability to pillory Trump. Members of his administration were harassed and persecuted, including Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, and Peter Navarro. Some — including Navarro — even spent time in jail.

So what did Gabbard reveal recently that left-leaning news outlets found so uninteresting? It’s odd, given the Washington Post and New York Times received Pulitzer prizes for their Russia-gate coverage, that they’re so mum on this key update. Gabbard, in her capacity as intelligence chief, has released declassified documents. They lay out the scheme Obama kicked off when his presidency was coming to a close.

John Brennan, then the director of the CIA, informed Obama that the Hillary Clinton campaign had paid for a fake dossier — alleging Trump had colluded with Russian officials to engineer his election, among other things. This so-called “Steele Dossier” was in fact paid, dirt-slinging, campaign fodder — but it was treated as something legitimate by Obama. He directed an investigation into Trump’s alleged ties to Moscow — even though he knew the predicate was a fake, phony, campaign lie.

Gabbard has described the actions as clear wrongdoing, designed to upend our American democracy. And thanks to our feckless, compliant media — most of the people working in the field anyway — they almost got away with it.

As David Harsanyi reminds us in a recent Op-ed penned for the New York Post, Obama’s National Security Advisor Susan Rice wrote an email during her very last hour in office. She insisted the investigation into Trump’s phony Russia ties was done “by the book.” How odd that she would send such an email at all. Even more puzzling is that it was done during a time when most people would have already left the office, having packed up the family photos and little tchotchkes. Instead, she appeared to be covering her tracks.

Plus, as Harsanyi aptly notes — doesn’t it beg the question, were other investigations in fact not done by the book?

A few other things are worth reminding you of: the deep state thugs that were employed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller came up with nothing — bupkis — when paid to spend years searching for some Trump-Russia connection. Adam Schiff — then a Congressman, who was awarded the position of Senator by the voters of California, repeatedly vowed he’d seen evidence of Trump-Russia ties. Why did he say all of that? It clearly was untruthful. How fascinating that he now faces potential prosecution for alleged mortgage fraud.

But it’s no surprise that for many on the political left — including their sycophantic news outlets — the credible evidence pointing to a coup generated a collective yawn. Many suggested the revelations were just an attempt to “distract” everyone from the Jeffrey Epstein case. The Epstein case — from which Trump has requested the release of documents. Something the Biden Administration never did once in four years.

The various news outlets ignored absolutely stunning quotes from Gabbard, as well as White House press flak Karoline Leavitt. Gabbard said, the evidence “directly point[s] to President Obama leading the manufacturing of this intelligence assessment,” resulting in a “a yearslong coup against the incoming president of the United States, Donald Trump.”

Some of Gabbard’s pointed observations include:

Leavitt, in her capacity as press secretary, delivered a summation that was as brutal as it was effective: “In private, former President Obama went to great and nefarious lengths to sow discord among the public and sabotage his successor President Trump… The Russia collusion hoax was a massive fraud perpetuated on the American people from the very beginning. … And the worst part of this is Obama knew that truth … There was no collusion, no corruption except on the part of Barack Obama and the weaponized intelligence agencies at the time.” And she blasted both the New York Times and the Washington Post, noting how ridiculous it was they were honored for being propaganda pushers, dutifully delivering the deep state’s message without an ounce of scrutiny of curiosity.

“It’s well past time for those awards to be stripped from the journalists … It is not journalism to propagate political disinformation in service of the Democrat Party and those in the intelligence community who hand over out-of-context and fake intelligence to push a false political narrative.”

Political observers and MAGA supporters remembering the Durham investigation will likely not be holding their breath when awaiting a potential prosecution. But if nothing else, the legacy of an Obama who “goes high when others go low” — should be laid to waste — as the man is nothing short of an engineer of chaos, disorder, discord, and alleged treason.
