(Purchase, NY) — Pepsi is launching its first ever prebiotic cola. It news comes on the heels of the success of Poppi, Olipop and Bloom prebiotic sodas. Recently, PepsiCo bought Poppi for one-point-ninety-five-billion dollars. In addition, Coca-Cola says its coming out with its own line of prebiotic soft drinks called Simply Pop.
The Pepsi prebiotic soda will be available in 12-ounce single cans for a trial period and then eight-packs of 12-ounce cans. The new offering will be available online this fall and at retail early next year. One can will contain five grams of cane sugar, 30-calories and three grams of prebiotic fiber and come in Original Cola and Cherry Vanilla flavors.
