(New York, NY) — New York City Restaurant Week is underway. Some 600 restaurants across the five boroughs are taking part. Two-course lunches and three-course dinners will start at 30-dollars, but you do have to ask for the special restaurant week menu. NYC Restaurant Week started back in 1992 to welcome the Democratic National Convention and it was only for one week. Since then, it has grown in popularity as New Yorkers realized they could dine at some of the top city restaurants at discounted prices. Some of the restaurants include Aqua New York, Essex, Fish Cheeks and Morandi. Meantime, while it is called restaurant week, it does run through August 17th.
