What Is “Credible” with the Epstein Files?

newsletter-news-articles-presentation-1

(New York, NY) – President Trump took action on Thursday night, saying that with all the “ridiculous coverage” surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and his alleged ring of accomplices — he wants information made public. He was specifically referring to any grand jury testimony or information, as tied to Epstein’s prosecution years ago in South Florida. Attorney General Pam Bondi, who previously served as Florida’s top prosecutor, then told the president she was ready to “move the court” to release the documents. But as for the Epstein controversy, it’s been dominating headlines all week.

In many ways, it’s an event we could have seen coming. The vows and insistences on transparency and accountability were numerous. Truly, almost nothing would suffice — short of mass prosecutions — in connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s reported client list. Unless significant names in business and entertainment “face the music” for any and all association with Epstein — few will be satisfied. But, “what if some people innocently associated with Epstein for philanthropic purposes,” you may ask. Well, the online mob doesn’t do nuance — and the concept of where there’s smoke there’s fire often rings true.

Throughout this week, the MAGA world tore itself apart as to whether President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi are properly handling the Epstein case. A joint memo from the FBI and DOJ insists that Epstein died by suicide in a New York jail cell — and he had no “client list.” People were (rightly) incredulous at this news. How is that possible? Didn’t Pam Bondi tell the public she had the list on her desk? Didn’t she say anyone who had held information back in the New York field office would be held accountable?

It all comes with plenty of flashbacks as well. During Trump’s first term, then Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta shared that he was “pressured” not to go hard after Epstein — when Acosta was a federal prosecutor in Florida. At that time, per Acosta, it was “above his paygrade.” The concept of Epstein having been a foreign agent or intelligence officer is not a new one — many have speculated he may have worked for the CIA, Mossad, MI6, or some combination of the three. In essence, the suggestion is that Epstein ran a vast “honeypot” scheme — securing evidence of adults engaging in relations with teens — and threatening to expose that knowledge unless certain conditions are met.

Blackmail on that level is powerful. It’s not hard to imagine where that meant millions if not billions of dollars in decision making, investment, political policy, and other areas.

But what else could be happening behind the scenes for the Trump administration? This week, President Trump expressed frustration with people being so focused on Epstein. He even went so far as to call it a “hoax” advanced by Democrats. Yet reports have said that Trump’s deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino was so angered by AG Bondi’s handling of the situation, he threatened to step down. And many in the so-called MAGA sphere are deeply hurt by what they see as betrayal, with the White House attempting to “move on” from the Epstein case — and the implications of a deeper reality.

The MAGA movement is all about populism. Its an America-first, middle-class driven, “tea party legacy,” rejection of the elites. People who have found themselves frustrated by over wrought regulation — combined with protectionist practices — found themselves clamoring or a “change” in Washington, DC. Drain the swamp. Defeat the deep state. Make America Great Again. So it’s a matter of deep importance that someone pay for Epstein’s crimes — and that his associates get in trouble, too. Only Ghislaine Maxwell has ever been prosecuted in terms of connection to Epstein’s sex pest crimes. Yet she was his alleged madam or pimp — who were the clients, then? Only Epstein himself?

How did Epstein get so rich? Who was with him on all those flight logs? Why did Bill Gates’ wife allude to her ex-husband’s time spent with Epstein when discussing their divorce? All genuine questions. Plus, even if there wasn’t a sense of this being another time when the elites one and money bought a “get out of jail free card,” it’s deeper than that.

Anyone who works in news understands this well: the most hardened journalist can cover any untold number of fires, and earthquakes, and crashes — shootings, stabbings, and robberies. It never ceases to make you stop and wince when children are involved. Taken the recent flooding in Texas, for example. The girl’s camp, and the concept of little, innocent children being swept away in the middle of the night — while away from their families — is too much to bear.

So is the Epstein case and the underlying reality. Somewhere, somehow, the innocent are being victimized. The activists won’t stop pushing. And they shouldn’t. It’s their duty and right to do so. It’s also true that many content creators on TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram are making a lot of money with videos about Epstein. So everything can and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Still, the issue isn’t going away. The push for accountability cannot end — and its agents of change won’t be denied.
