(New York, NY) – A 56-year-old man stabbed in the head while sleeping on a southbound No. 1 train in Harlem around 6 a.m. The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.

Police say the incident happened as the train arrived at the 145th Street station.

“They’re just killing people and stabbing people for no reason. It’s too much. And every cop can’t be at every train station all the time,” one rider said.

Police arrested the suspect who was arrested by two officers who were on the train. The motive of the attack is unknown, and charges are pending.
